Australia has finally got the results of general elections.
While no party has claimed clear majority in this election, 226 MPs are slated to be elected for parliament, out of which 150 will be part of lower cabinet. In this election, neither the Conservative nor the Labour Party has won a clear majority to form the government.
Conservative party has won 67 seats, whereas the Labour Party has won 71 seats. The results for 11 remaining seat are yet to be declared. Who will form the government depends heavily on these 11 seats. Out of 11, Labour Party is leading on 6 seats. In this election, smaller parties have benefited the most.It seems that none of the larger parties shall be able to be form the government without the support of their less significant political allies.
