On Saturday, the capital of Iraq was shaken to its very core when more than 200 people were killed in two car blasts at midnight. The suicide blasts took place in a crowded place and were conducted by the Islamic State.
More than 200 people are reported to have been injured seriously in two attacks. According to the security personnel, the suicide bombers blasted two cars in a crowded market in middle Baghdad, Karrada, where people were shopping for the upcoming festival of Eid. After the blasts, shops were set ablaze, claiming more injuries, death and loss. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
