CO Zia-ul Haq murder Case: Anomalies in CBI Inquest
While CBI fumbled with its investigation, Cobrapost managed to deduce several hiccups in the report submitted by the authorities regarding the infamous murder
New Delhi: The whole nation was in shock when it was reported that Zia-ul Haq was murdered in cold blood on March 2, 2014 in Ballipur village of Kunda, which is under the Hathiyagaon police station of Uttar Pradesh.
The heinous crime took place when Haq had gone in Ballipur to investigate a murder case which was linked to then UP Jail Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, who had to resign from Samajwadi Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Although, an investigation was launched by the UP police but Haq’s family was not satisfied with the outcome of this inquest. Haq’s wife Praveen Azad in her FIR named Raja Bhaiyya, a lackey, Chairman of Kunda municipality Gulshan Yadav, Guddu Singh, Rohit Singh, and Hari Om Srivastava as suspects.
After facing a lot of flak, Akhilesh Yadav government was forced to refer the case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for investigation.
