A high alert has been observed in Mumbai by the Indian Navy following the report of two school children who claimed that they saw suspicious movement of four men near Uran naval base.

The group of men was clad in black and they were talking in some foreign language. They were also carrying arms. The men were seen near the navy base.

First, the school principal was reported about the incident and after that police was put on high alert.

“Two students have informed that they have seen suspicious men in Uran. While one student has claimed of spotting one person, the other has claimed to have seen five. Post the information, multiple agencies are probing it,” said DGP Satish Mathur.

The police is searching for the suspicious looking men around Uran area of Navi Mumbai.

The questioning is going on with students while ATS is trying to check the credentials of students’ claim.

The reason for State 1 alert being ordered was the proximity of an ammunition depot near the place where suspicious looking men were spotted. At the same time INS Abhimanyu is also close by.
