Yet another terrorist attack on Indian Army camp, one BSF jawan martyred

Just four days after India attacked and destroyed seven terror bases in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir, one BSF jawan was martyred and another wounded when terrorists attacked yet another BSF and adjorning Army camps in Baramulla.

The martyred jawan has Constable Nitin and the injured personnel Constable Pulwinder, both belong to the 40th battalion of the BSF, officials said.

Terrorists targeted the 46 Rashtriya Rifles army camp, they gained entry through an adjoining BSF camp around 10:30 PM. They fired indiscriminately and also lobbed grenades. The Army has not disclosed how many terrorists attacked the camp. It has been estimated that there were at least four attackers.

Earlier reports said that two terrorists were gunned down  in the attack but their  bodies  are yet to be recovered. One of the terrorist who had bullet wounds jumped into Jhelum river. Massive search operation is underway along the banks of the river.

The spokesperson for Srinagar-based XV corps Col Rajesh Kalia said terrorists fired at an Army camp at Jabanzpora in Baramulla and the firing was still on.
