Coimbatore: A local court here remanded 24 persons to judicial custody today, for their alleged involvement in dumping of medical waste, brought from Kerala, at a farm land near here.
All those arrested were produced before the judicial magistrate, who remanded them till November 10.
Owner of the farm land, Chellappan and Mohammed Iliyas, the contractor from Kerala who had taken the land on lease for segregation, recycling and selling the waste to prospective customers, were arrested.
