Chandigarh: Central Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lieutenant General Balwant Singh Negi today arrived on a three-day visit to Chandimandir Military Station near here as part of a process to achieve greater synergy towards better operational preparedness.

The Central Army Commander interacted with Lieutenant General Surinder Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, where aspects of strategic cooperation, effective utilisation of strategic forces and higher military planning, were discussed, a defence spokesman said here.
