Greater Noida: The family of Mohammed Akhlaq, who was lynched by a mob in Dadri last year for alleged cow slaughter, today moved a court against a recent court order directing FIR against them for storing and consuming beef saying there were some loopholes in the forensic report.

“We have moved Fast Track Court judge Virendra Singh with an application for further investigation under CRPC 173(8) in the case,” the family’s advocate Yusuf Saifi said.

“We have raised certain points in the application. Meat quantity was 2 kg but the forensic report said the quantity was 4 kg. Further we have raised the issue of colour of meat.

In the forensic report, the colour of meat was not mentioned,” he said.

“Further we have stated that Sanjay Rana and two others know the names of other persons who had assaulted the deceased. We have demanded that they should be questioned and made accused in the murder case,” said Saifi.
