Bestselling author Anuja Chauhan will come out with her fifth novel next year which will talk about “men in uniform.”

In a brief statement, publishers HarperCollins Publishers India announced that it has acquired the rights for Chauhan’s novel Baz which will be published in April 2017.

“Every one of her books is a publishing event and we can’t wait to recreate the magic when we publish Baz next year!” says Ananth Padmanabhan, CEO of HarperCollins Publishers India.

Best known for her romantic comedy, Chauhan has published four novels, The Zoya Factor, Battle For Bittora, Those Pricey Thakur Girls and The House that BJ Built.

Chauhan says she’s excited about her new book.

“Being an army brat, Baz is very close to my heart.

Seven men from my family fought in the 1971 war – and this is my attempt to capture that special blend of courage, honour, humour and sexiness that embodies our men in uniform,” she says.

She worked in the advertising industry for over 17 years before resigning in 2010 to pursue a full-time literary career.

Her debut novel The Zoya Factor is set in the glamorous, high-pressure world of Indian cricket while her second work Battle For Bittora in the heat and dust of a Lok Sabha election.

The next novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls is about pre-liberalisation New Delhi, plagued by a state-censored media, while her fourth book is its sequel and is a romance set against the backdrop of a family property dispute involving a 200-crore house on New Delhi’s posh Hailey Road.
