Bengali film “Mi Amor”, starring Raima Sen and Parambrata Chatterjee, will be screened at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival.
Directed by National Award-winner Suman Ghosh, the movie is a love story of young generation of Bengalis settling abroad. It was shot extensively in Miami in the US.
“We had a lot of fun shooting and we also made it to Busan. Quite a journey indeed,” Ghosh told PTI.
He earlier tweeted, “Thrilled that our idiosyncratic love story ‘Mi Amor’ is slated for a World Premier at the Busan International Film Festival. It is an official selection of the 2016 line up.”
The news, which comes a week after the announcement that Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s “Tope The Bait” will have its world premiera at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival, has put Tollywood in celebratory mood.
“Congrats, So happy. I have always been calling for the global reach of our brand of cinema,” Prosenjit said when contacted.
