“It’s not a mythological show; it’s a period drama. The show is about Shanidev’s life and the reason behind his existence. People are often scared of Shanidev but there is nothing to be scared off. I believe whatever you do, comes back to you,” Salil said.
According to the 48-year-old actor, his costume weighs 22 kilos and the head gear is of five kilos and the axe that he has in his hand is of 13 kilos.
“I had to work on my physicality as I needed to look convincing with the heavy costume,” he said.
In the show, popular television actress Juhi Parmar plays his wife and the former cricketer is full of praise for his co-star.
“It was fantastic working with her. She is fun and very talented. I don’t know how she manages to cry without using glycerin,” Salil said.
