His knock has redefined the Twenty20 record book. The highest T20 team score before this was 263/5 by Royal Challengers Bangalore against Sahara Pune Warriors in the 2013 IPL. The highest individual score by a batsman was 175 by Chris Gayle in the same match. Ahlawat has basically scored more than an entire team.
His tally of 39 sixes is also monumental, considering the maximum number of sixes by a team in an innings so far was 21. If one looks at an entire Twenty20 game, then it was 34 sixes. Once again, Ahlawat has outscored all.
