A Dutch jihadi heart-throb who received 10,000 marriage proposals after posting pictures of himself holding kittens has been killed in an air strike in Syria, it has been claimed.
Israfil Yilmaz was reported to have died in a bombing raid on the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, in the north of the country.
The terrorist, believed to have been aged 28, courted the media and featured in a series of news interviews explaining why he had fled to join the extremists.
And on one occasion, he even held a question and answer session using Tumblr, addressing questions including ‘do you miss your mother’ to which he replied ‘At times, yes’.
But he also issued chilling responses to other questions, apparently joking about gay men deserving to be ‘thrown off a high building’ the New York Times reports.
