On Wednesday, a liver flown in from Bombay Hospital in Indore, was transplanted into a 62-year-old woman from Mumbai, who suffered from liver cirrhosis and was in a critical state. The transplant was carried out at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

The hospital also saw a cadaver donation on the same day in which two kidneys and a liver were retrieved from a road accident victim. While one kidney was transplanted into a 38-year-old woman, the other was sent to a patient from Thane’s Jupiter Hospital.
