Mumbai woman gets new life as liver flown in from Indore is transplanted

The liver went to a 57-year-old man from Gujarat who was in a critical condition due to cirrhosis in the organ. “The growing awareness levels in other states and peripheral towns is overwhelming…” said Dr Ram Narain, Executive Director of the hospital. On Tuesday the city saw its 31st heart transplant when the family of a 21-year-old brain dead patient decided to donate his organs.
