BHUBANESWAR: BJP president Amit Shah on Friday launched a stinging attack on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the latter’s comments on demonetisation.
Referring to the former prime minister’s statement in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, in which Manmohan chided Modi by describing demonetisation as a ‘monumental mismanagement’, Shah said “ye note bandi kari hai na, ye note bandi… iske liye bahut dard hai unko… dukh kisko hota hai, jiska jayega, usko hota hain na (Manmohan ji is pained with this demonetisation. Who will feel the pain, those losing their black money will feel the pain)”.
Lauding the Narendra Modi government’s move against black money during the public rally here, Shah said: “Desh ki janata Modi ji ke saath hai. (People of this country are with Modi ji).”
