The court room drama thriller, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, features megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the lawyer for the three girls.
The 33-year-old actor got on board after a chance meeting with the “Piku” filmmaker at an awards function, post which he got a call for a meeting and was instantly selected for the role.
Angad says it is unfair to call his character in the film “negative” because in most of Shoojit’s films, there is no hero or villain.
“If you look at his films, they never have a hero or a villain. There are just characters. There is nobody who is good or bad. They are very realistically written. Even in this, be it the girls’ role, Bachchan sir or me, they are all very real,” he said.
“Pink” marks Angad’s third Bollywood film, after “Ungli” and “Faltu”.
The actor, who is the son of former cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi, said Bachchan helped him a lot during the workshops prior to shooting the film on sets.
