Coal India has been requested for a mining rescue station team with specialized equipment.

A National Disaster Response Force team has been sent to the site of the collapse from Patna. They’re likely to reach the spot by 10 AM.

Additional personnel from Eastern Coalfields Limited’s Sheetalpur headquarters have also been rushed to the spot.

The Central Industrial Security Force said its on-duty sentry is safe, and rescue operations are underway. Electricity supply has been disrupted, it added.
