Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed assets worth about Rs 10 crore allegedly belonging to an Assistant City Planner working in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) here.
On credible information, a case of disproportionate assets was registered against A Santosh Venu and simultaneous searches were conducted at his and his relatives and associates residences’ in Hyderabad and other places, a release from ACB said.
During the searches, one triple bedroom house and seven flats at Narayanaguda, one three floor house at DD Colony, one house at Gudi Malkapur, one flat at Himayath Nagar, one flat at Erragadda (all in the city), two cars, one bike, net cash Rs 3.5 lakh, 70 tolas (700 grams) gold ornaments, household articles worth Rs 10.50 lakh, and bank balance of Rs 4 lakh were unearthed.
As per records, the value of the properties is about Rs 4 crore, ACB said pointing out that the market value of the properties is approximately Rs 10 crore.
“Santosh Venu is being arrested and will be produced before an ACB Court here,” the release said, adding the case is under investigation.
