Anil Baijal takes oath as new Lt Governor of Delhi

NEW DELHI: Anil Baijal, a former IAS officer, on Saturday took over as new Lt Governor of Delhi amid escalating confrontation between the AAP government and the centre on a range of contentious issue including control over bureaucracy.

President Pranab Mukherjee had on December 28 accepted Najeeb Jung’s resignation and approved Baijal’s name as the next L-G of the National Capital Territory.
