Cobrapost Unearths Racket Selling Stuffs Illegally at Railway Stations of Delhi NCR

At Sarai Rohilla station, our reporter met a man called Mohar Singh who does operate this racket at Delhi Cantt. Station. Meet one Gaur Sahib, he told our reporter, if he wanted to do business at the station. At Gaur’s den in a lane out there, we met one Parveen. Apart from Parveen, there was a horde of illegal vendors and none had any badge to show. The badge is kind of a medical certificate which every vendor is required to have before he is allowed to sell stuffs on trains and at stations. When we went back to the Sarai Rohilla station, we saw Mohar Singh and his boys selling illegal bottled water and other foodstuffs at a price much higher than the printed or fixed by the Railways.
Anand Vihar Railway Station is the den of mafia Ravi, Mama, Vijay and Lamboo who sell bottled water and other stuffs at higher price illegally. At their den, our reporter met one Daddu who asked us to see one Mama but after a long wait Mama did not show up. Here, again all vendors were selling Rail Neer and other bottled water at Rs. 20 each.
A few kilometres inside Uttar Pradesh, Guddu heads a gang of boys who sell bottled water and foodstuffs at Sahibabad Railway Station. When we called upon him, Guddu was comfortably sitting at the GRP chowki at the station. He refused to talk for obvious reasons but we could see boys plying their trade that the platform of the station.
