A handful of people were injured on Sunday afternoon after a group of protesters clashed with security officials. The violence in the valley had led to the shutdown of several parts of Kashmir and also their cellular network services for almost 10 days, after the death of Hizbul Mujahideen and Burhan Wani. The Center today decided to send an additional 2,000 more paramilitary soldiers to the state to deal with the rebellion. Last week about 2,800 troops of CRPF were sent to help the police control and claim the state.

The re-opening of schools and colleges in Kashmir has been re-scheduled and extended due to the unrest.
