In northern India, Amritsar in Punjab was engulfed by very dense fog, with visibility close to nil, Skymet reported. Neighbouring Chandigarh had visibility of just 800 meters. In eastern Uttar Pradesh, in Varanasi, Skymet reported visibility of 400 meters, while in Lucknow, visibility was a bare 150 meters.
In eastern India, Skymet reported dense fog in Patna where visibility was just 200
meters.Fog stretched all across the north-western plains as well. Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh has close to nil visibility, followed by Raipur where a thick blanket of fog brought visibility down to 500 meters.
As for the next couple of days, the weatherman doesn’t have good news. That is, expect more of the same.
