New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation plans to jointly pitch for projects in international market in areas such as capacity building with the Gurgaon-based Management Development Institute.

The two parties have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard.

DMRC has similar tie-ups with IIT-Delhi and DTU (Delhi Technological University).

“The two organisations plan to explore opportunities in the international market and jointly bid for assignments in capacity building, institution development, training and development programmes etc,” DMRC said in a statement.

The corporation termed it as a step towards setting the ground for a long term academy-industry partnership.

As part of the arrangement, DMRC and MDI would also collaborate to develop management level programmes and arrange trips for management students at metro stations, construction sites, depots and training institute to give them practical exposure.
