Edible oils recover on renewed demand

Mumbai: Groudnut oil and refined palmolein rebounded at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

While, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial slipped on subdued demand from soap and shippers industries.

Meanwhile, linseed oil held stable in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil regained by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,210 from Friday’s close of Rs 1,200 and refined palmolein also rose by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 622 as against Rs 618 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 65 per 100 kg to Rs 3,875 as compared to Rs 3,940 yesterday and castoroil commercial declined by Rs 13 per 10 kg to Rs 805 from Rs 818.

Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,050 per 10 kg.
