UK-based intensivist Dr Richard Beale, who is currently in London, on Monday expressed shock over a sudden cardiac arrest that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa suffered on Sunday evening. Dr Beale is among the team of specialists treating J Jayalalithaa.
“The situation is grave, but I can confirm that everything possible is being done to give her the best chance of surviving this shocking event,” said Dr Beale.
In a statement, Dr Richard Beale said he had been keeping a close tab on her situation at Apollo Hospitals and had been most encouraged by how well she had been doing.
