Imphal: Four persons, including two NSCN (IM) cadres, were today arrested from Khudei Khullen in Chandel district for thair alleged involvement in a fake incident of kidnapping for ransom.
Imphal West SP AK Jalhjit said one .32 pistol, magazine, two live bullets of M-16 rifles, two live bullets of .303 rifle and three live rounds of AK rifle were seized from the possession of the NSCN (IM) cadres.
All the four were allegedly involved in an incident in which a grocer had to pay ransom to secure release of two salesmen who pretented that they were abducted last week.
Police unearthed the plot and barring the kingpin arrested others before rounduing up the four this afternoon, the SP said.
