While Akhilesh is the president of the Trust, senior minister Rajendra Chaudhary is the vice-president. Most of the expelled youth leaders, including Sunil Singh Yadav, Naimul Hasan, Rajpal Kashchyap, are its members. The Trust, which was formed in late 2013, was till now being run from the party office campus.
The programme began with CM Akhilesh Yadav formally inaugurating the office by cutting a ribbon. This was followed by a puja. Thereafter, Akhilesh paid floral tributes to Janeshwar Misra and held a meeting of the Trust members, wherein it was decided that the strength of the executive committee of the Trust will be increased to 21. The new names likely to be added to the list include Anand Bhadauria, Sanjay Lathar and Naved Siddiqui.
