Jaya dominates social media, described as iron lady and a volcano erupting with talent

A Facebook post read: “You were like this volcano erupting with talent, leadership, hot iron spirit etc. in a male dominated arena .. The legacy you left behind in the form of rock solid lava will be a source of inspiration for millions..”

“A great leader & a true fighter. An inspiration to all”, “She’ll still remain in the hearts of millions all around the country, especially Tamil Nadu, for her motherly care. A woman of strong will and courage” were some of the tweets.

There were also some good Samaritans who offered help for getting medicines for the needy with the city witnessing a near bandh-like situation with all shops closed.
