Zakir Naik, the Islamic preacher is facing multiple probes over alleged provocative speeches lately, which is said to be inspiring terrorist activities worldwide, one being the recent Dhaka terrorist attack. The controversial hot-shot is addressing the media currently through video calling service Skype from Medina after cancelling media interaction thrice.
Here are some of the highlights from his address-

– I condemn terror attacks. such attacks should not take place

– I was watching clips of news channels, there are hundreds of allegations. I gave the reply to the media allegations. There are about 30 allegations. You will get the answers in a pen drive that will be distributed after the event

– Suicide bombing is not permitted in Islam. It is ‘haraam’. But certain scholars say if it is used as a tactic of war by a country to win, then it is permitted

– Not inspired any terrorist, I am a messenger of peace

– I challenge you, show me any unedited clip of mine where I haven’t condemned suicide bombing

– If people are inspired by my lecture but some of them are hijacked by certain speakers who are misguiding, how can I help

– We (Peace TV) applied to I&B ministry for downlinking rights in 2008 but did not get the permission.

– I would like media to pressurize I&B ministry and ask why haven’t they given downlinking permission to Peace TV.

– Killing innocent is prohibited. I have never encouraged anytime in my life to kill the innocent.

– I meet thousands of people everyday, shake their hands, but I have never knowingly met a terrorist

– In public, show any clip of mine where I have taken the name of any organization and condemned it
