NEW DELHI: Former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P Rama Mohana Rao, whose house and office were searched by Income Tax officials in connection with a tax evasion probe post-demonetisation, on Tuesday blasted Centre for the raids.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, P Rama Mohana Rao, who has alleged links with sand mining baron Babu Sekar Reddy, claimed he was put under house arrest. Rao also said that he was held at gunpoint by the CRPF personnel.
“I was under house arrest. CRPF personnel entered my house. They showed me the search warrant, however my name was not written on it. They’ve found nothing,” said Rao, calling the raid as an unconstitutional assault.
