An unidentified man jumped onto the tracks and was instantly killed by an approaching train at the Bhyandar station in Mumbai. The incident, which took place on July 10, was caught on CCTV camera.

However, in the absence of anybody coming forward to claim his body even after a week, the man still remains to be identified by the Government Railway Police (GRP). He did not have any ID on him when he committed suicide. The man, thought to be in his 30s, jumped in front of a Churchgate bound train at Bhayandar station, as the train coming from Naigaon entered the station. CCTV footage shows the man – dressed in a pink shirt and jeans -patiently waiting for the train with other passengers on Platform 6, reported Mumbai Mirror.

A total of 228 deaths took place along the Western Railway network between January and June this year. Of this, 40 were suicides.
