Smallest batch of Amarnath pilgrims leave for Kashmir Valley

Jammu: With only two days left for the conclusion of this year’s Amarnath yatra, a small batch of 30 pilgrims today left for the cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security.

The batch comprising 20 men and 10 sadhus left in two buses from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp here around 1210 hours, a police officer said.

The batch will reach their respective destinations at Pahalgam and Baltal by this evening for their onward journey to the shrine tomorrow, he said. s

The Amarnath yatra will conclude on August 18 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
