“Leh was, however, the overall coldest town in Jammu and Kashmir where the night temperature dropped to minus 7.8 degrees Celsius.”
“In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded 9.3, Katra town 11.3, Batote 7.7, Bannihal 2.5 and Bhaderwah 3.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperatures on Thursday,” the official added.
The present cold and dry weather conditions would continue in the state during the next 48 hours.
