Swami Vivekananda’s 154th birth anniversary celebrated as National Youth Day

Swami Vivekananda’s speech at the first Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago is considered among his most significant contributions to the world.

The opening lines of his speech – “Sisters and brothers of America” – earned him a two-minute standing ovation from the audience.
