“They were arrested in a raid and we also recovered 51 explosives and 20 semi-finished pistols, Superintendent of Police Balendu Bhushan said.”

The police said that they have already intensified their drive to track anti-social elements such as alcohol smugglers and those manufacturing illegal arms, ahead of the assembly polls.

The Election Commission of India has already announced the model code of conduct and directed officials to clamp down on anti-social elements that could pose issues during the upcoming polls.
