Dehradun: The polling in 69 seats of Uttarakhand assembly elections began on Wednesday morning. However, the Election Commission postponed the voting in Karnaprayag seat as the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate contesting elections from the constituency died in a road accident recently.

Uttarakhand assembly has a total of 70 seats. The voting for Karnaprayag seat will take place on March 9, says poll panel. The BSP candidate Kuldeep Singh Kanwasi was killed and two others were injured when their car fell into a gorge in Chamoli district on Sunday.
