As per RealClearPolitics, which keeps track of all major national polls, Trump, 70, is now trailing 68-year-old Clinton by 5.5 percentage points, the poll said on Tuesday.
Clinton now stands at 53% among voters under age 45, compared with 47% in the previous CNN/ORC poll.
The only age group where Clinton currently trails Trump is among 50-64, who back Trump by four points in this poll, the news channel said.
Clinton has a wide 12-point lead among women, while Trump edges Clinton by a narrow three-points among men.
