Pakistan summons Indian Deputy High Commissioner over ‘ceasefire violations’

Pakistan has once again summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner and lodged a strong protest alleged “unprovoked” firing by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC). This is the fifth time in over two weeks Pakistan has summoned Indian authority.

“Director General (South Asia & SAARC) Dr Mohammad Faisal, summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner, Mr J P Singh, today and strongly condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations” by the Indian Forces yesterday on the LoC in Nikial and Jandrot sectors, Pakistan Foreign Office said on Tuesday.

The firing from the Indian side has caused death of 3 Pakistani civilians and injuries to fou others including a 5-year-old boy, declared the Foreign Office said in a statement.
