Pakistan Army took a rare step of flying international media to the de facto border across the Line of Control in Kashmir to prove that an incursion to Pakistan along this area is impossible.
This desperate step by the military came on Saturday after India’s army chief Dalbir Singh congratulated the brave commandoes, who had taken part in the surgical strikes. Indian military forces entered the Pakistani territory upto 3 kilometres and attacked the terrorists launchpads. India’s surgical strikes took place following a deadly attack on an Indian army base by Pakistan-backed militants last month that killed 19 soldiers.
Pakistan has blatantly denied the claim, saying two of its soldiers were killed but only in cross-border fire on the LoC. And to prove this point the army helicopter took the AFP reporters to two kilimetres from the LoC, near the area which India claimed to have targetted.
