Pakistani authorities on Sunday rejected India’s allegations that Pakistan was involved in the attack in held Kashmir that claimed the lives of 17 Indian troops.
The directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of both countries established a hotline contact after the strike and the Pakistani side refuted the “premature” Indian allegations.
Giving details of the conversation, the ISPR, the military’s public relations wing, said: “In the backdrop of the Uri terrorist attack, Pakistan and Indian army DGMOs established hotline contact on Indian request this afternoon and latest situation along LoC was discussed.”
The DGMO of Pakistan refuted as unfounded and premature the Indian allegation and asked his Indian counterpart to share any actionable intelligence in this regard.
He reiterated that no infiltration was allowed from Pakistani soil because watertight arrangements were in place on both sides of the Line of Control and the western border all along.
