Anti-terror police launched an investigation after the British Asian stars of Gogglebox made an online joke about going to an ISIS training camp.

The Siddiqui brothers put on camouflaged clothing for a paintballing trip and posted a photo on Facebook with the caption:  ‘ISIS training day, look how happy we look!’

Baasit, 33, and Umar Siddiqui, 38, from Derby, are famous for sitting on their sofa reviewing TV with their father Sid, who moved to the UK from Pakistan aged 16.

The brothers were seen grinning with younger sibling Raza, 31, who occasionally appears on Channel 4.

But despite friends also sharing jokes poking fun at terrorists on Facebook, one reported them to Derbyshire Police who launched an investigation.

Facebook friends of Baasit posted jokes and one even uploaded a picture of an IS terrorist holding a gun, reports The Sun.

However, one friend saw the picture and reported it to Derbyshire Constabulary who visited them and said anti-terror police would be investigating the photograph.

The Facebook friend told the newspaper: ‘When you are in the media, you have a responsibility. His friends were liking and loving it. You don’t know if any of those people are genuinely ISIS supporters.’

After the investigation, Derbyshire Constabulary said they were satisfied there wasn’t a terror link and that no offences had been committed so there would be taking no further action.

The force added that they would be offering ‘suitable words of advice’.
