Twelve American soldiers who formed a secret “kill team” that reportedly exploded and shot Afghan civilians without any conscience. The group collected victims’ fingers as trophies.
Five of the soldiers killed three Afghan men for sport in attacks this year. They have been accused with murdering who were reportedly killed . Seven others are charged with concealing the evidence, killings. They also assaulted a recruit who exposed the murders when he reported other abuses like members of the unit stealing hashish from civilians.
This is one of the most serious war crimes that has emerged from the Afghan conflict, the killings are reported to have been carried out by members of a Stryker infantry brigade. Stryker infantry brigade is based in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan.
