After creating records in the field of cricket, West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is now all set to cast his spell on Bollywood as a singer but he says the transition was not natural for him.
Bravo is making his debut as a singer in director Anubhav Sinha’s directorial venture “Tum Bin 2”.
“I know that song and dance is big part of Indian culture.
I am not fully aware about all (Hindi) films and songs. I know name of most actors and actresses and and some songs as well. I like songs – ‘Chamak Challo’, ‘Dhinka Chika’ and ‘Lungi Dance’,” Bravo told PTI.
The West Indies cricketer was here last week to sing a song, titled “Jagger Bomb”.
“Singing did not come naturally to me. It was not easy. I had people helping me get my lines in Hindi right. I am happy I was able to finish my lines. I still have problem in remembering the (Hindi) lines (of the song). But it’s going all good,” Bravo said.
Apart from cricket, the 32-year-old star is open to make a career in singing and acting as well.
“I don’t know if this song is successful or not. And if I get the opportunity to do (work) with Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif then why not (take up acting). It’s (to be in Bollywood) been my ultimate goal and aim,” he said.
Bravo is looking forward to the biopic on Sachin Tendulkar and M S Dhoni.
“Definitely, I am excited to see his (Sachin Tendulkar) biopic. Who wouldn’t want to see a film on him,” he said.
“Also I am looking forward to see Dhoni’s biopic. I saw little pieces of it (trailer) from childhood to school days to what he is today. I know a few things about him. It would be great for fans to see how the life of M S Dhoni is like,” he added.
