After cinema halls national anthem compulsory in schools

“The young students should grow up as citizens with strong patriotic values,” the minister said adding, “Children are the future of our nation. So they need to respect the Flag and the Anthem,” he said,as reported by Hindustan Times.

The move follows the other order given by the Supreme Court directing all cinemas to reel national anthem at the overture of the films.

Madhya Pradesh isn’t the first one to push for national anthem and tricolor drive across schools, Uttar Pradesh government in March, this year has also made singing of national anthem compulsory in every state-run primary school.

In the recent months, the Madras High Court has issued direction to private schools in Tamil Nadu to make sure national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ in schools at the morning assembly session.
