Seems even union ministers are not immune to the hardships post demonetisation. The younger brother of union minister of statistics and programme implementation DV Sadananda Gowda, DV Bhaskar (56), passed away at a private hospital in Mangaluru on Tuesday. When Gowda tried paying them through demonetised currency notes, the hospital refused.

Sources from the family told Bangalore Mirror that the minister’s brother was down with a jaundice attack five months ago and was undergoing treatment. He suffered a relapse a month ago and was again admitted to the hospital. He died due to complications related to jaundice.
