NEW DELHI: Faced with a near washout of the winter session of Parliament, the government has made yet another effort to break the deadlock by offering a compromise formula to the Opposition which has been protesting over the demonetisation issue. The offer is that a discussion would be held on demonetisation by suspending the Question Hour in the Lok Sabha, but the issue would not be put to vote.
