Encounter continues between security forces and terrorists: J-K

An encounter between security forces and terrorists is underway in Langate area of Handwara since early morning. After the recent surgical strike by Indian armed forces on terrorist camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), following the Uri attack in which 19 soldiers were killed, tension have increased between both countries with India vowing to revenge such attacks.

Last Thursday, two terrorists were killed and an Army jawan was martyred after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports, a joint team of Army and police launched anti-terror operations in Sopore and Bandipora districts.
