Yesterday, the INLD and Congress members had also hit out at the government for “failing” to acknowledge the contribution of their senior leaders in the formation of the state.
“You left the conference, which was not of any party or government..it was a people’s event,” Dhankar told the opposition MLAs.
Outspoken Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said the opposition parties have nothing to do with the golden jubilee celebrations and they were “making a mockery” of the parliamentary system by getting up on their toes repeatedly on every issue.
Thereafter, the opposition INLD members rushed to the Well of the House and started raising slogans against the government.
The Speaker named several INLD legislators forcing the Assembly to be adjourned twice.
