Pakistan has on numerous accounts violated the ceasefire ever since Indian Army conducted Surgical strikes across the border to eliminate a significant number of threats from the Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The body mutilation of the Indian soldier was the second such incident in the matter of a month. earlier on October 28, terrorists had mutilated the bodies of 2 Indian soldiers and had managed to escape into the PoK with the help of the protective firing provided by the Pakistani Army posts.

Pakistan Army, in the morning, initiated the first ceasefire violations of the day with firing on Indian Army posts in Bhimber Gali, Krishna Ghati and Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The heavy firing came at around 9 a.m and the Indian troops were seen giving a befitting reply to the enemies. The firing between the borders was reported to have started from around 3 am in the night in some areas but had intensified by 9 a.m in the morning.

The Indian Army carried out a powerful counter attack against the Pakistani forces, using mortars on the neighbours’ posts across the Line of Control. Pakistani media reports that at least 10 people were killed and 14 injured in two separate incidents of Indian firing in the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Pakistani military officials claimed that the mortars filed from the Indian side hit a bus and 11 civilians were reported dead.
